My love for fitness began at a young age when I started teaching group fitness classes and personal training at Texas A&M University. After graduation, I coordinated the group fitness programming and healthy lifestyle classes for one of the largest YMCA branches in the Greater Houston Area as Fitness Director. During my time there, I developed a painful autoimmune disease that led me to practice Pilates when high impact exercise was not an option. Pilates allowed me to feel strong and reap the mental benefits of exercise while protecting my joints. I had the privilege of starting a group Pilates reformer program at the YMCA almost 20 years ago. After having children, I continued to teach group fitness classes and personal train but also enjoyed going back to being a student in group fitness classes. Shortly after moving to Georgetown, I discovered TrueCore and immediately knew it was home! I was excited to study The Sharp Method Pilates and build on my experience and prior knowledge teaching Pilates on the reformer. In my classes, I want every client to feel successful and safe whether he or she is struggling to feel good or is at his or her peak fitness level.
