Instructor: Pilates and Yoga
Angie is a firm believer that a little bit of grit, infused with hip-hop music, and a willingness to push yourself outside of your comfort zone, can result in a truly transformative experience.
Angie is a SHARP Method Pilates certified instructor and RYT-200. When she first walked into Truecore over five years ago, it was primarily for the physical benefits: hoping to lose weight and become more fit. As her body (and mind) became stronger and healthier, she soon discovered that the reformer and her yoga mat were a place to find a sense of contentment, self-awareness and mind-body connection. When she initially made the decision to enroll in teacher training, it was simply to deepen her own practice. However, the more she learned, and grew, the more her intention shifted to teaching and sharing the practice that she loves, with others.
Angie truly believes that both Pilates and Yoga are for anybody and any BODY. She attempts to offer her students the opportunity to take their own path, to modify when needed, and to honor how they feel at all times. Her ultimate goal, is to create a fun and lively environment, where everyone feels welcome. As a trainer, she will push you to constantly challenge yourself, whilst remaining your biggest cheerleader, throughout each and every class.
Although originally from Kentucky, Angie has lived in the Belton area for 18 years and considers herself to be a coffee snob, rap music enthusiast, and chronic road tripper. She graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a degree in Economics and has worked as a Wealth Management and Financial Advisor in Austin for the last 14 years. When she’s not in the office or in the studio, her happy place is on a hiking trail or with her family. She is the mom to two witty, loud, and adventurous teenage boys and her husband Matt, is her absolute rock and support system.
